Cut it out Rob, first Bush and Cheney destroy the industry by stealing money on oil and now you with this crap.... I am going to send the UAW Mafia to Chicago, I have had enough man!!!!! Next you will be telling us to go to Wal-Mart and buy some junk that was "Made in China" You dirty, no good....low down.... @@##@!!
Audis are great cars. Many of my family members have been buying them since the mid-nineties. My sister-in-law has an '06 A4 Quattro. It's definitely a good car for the money. The manual shift is like butter. I think they start at about $30K. Compare it's features to a comparably priced Americana. And the interior controls too-
Chicago is a big union town.....remember Jimmy Hoffa?? I don't get it Rob, with the focus on SUV's and Cadillac trucks how can you say such a thing The vehicles are great, we just can't buy fuel for them at a decent price! We had fantastic cars before Nixon ruined the nation and had us all on a 55 mph speed limit during the first "so called oil crisis" in 1973. Then we were all driving Ford Pintos and Chevy Vegas because of that crap! Go look at the Camaros in 1968, the Mustangs, 1957 Chevy, you can't beat these cars even today! We can make good cars if that was the focus, it was not, it has been on Pickup Trucks and Giant SUV's for the last 8 years or so and people are either large or small today and the imports have the advantage in small because our focus has been off for so long in making big trucks! The bottom line is that the oil companies starting in 1973 ruined the industry by forcing us to downsize, we did that in the 70's with "The Pinto"????? Since then we forgot about building good cars because we have to build front wheel drive crap to be able to make money on small cars! So to get around buying this junk, Americans all started driving SUV's and Pickup Trucks in large numbers, that was until the latest oil scam that screwed the industry again. GM alone is responsible for over a million jobs, direct and indirect!!! So what is going to happen should this BS continue ?????
I actually just did some more searching, and Audi does seem to have improved their quality in the past few years. They weren't in any of the top 10 least reliable lists I saw, but they weren't on any of the 10 top most reliable cars, either. My dad had a 2000ish Audi Wagon, and it was a POS, constantly in the shop. Maybe it was just a lemon, but I've heard lots of people who have had problems with their Audis, especially the electrical systems. When shopping for a car, reliability and low maintenance costs are important to me. If I was more into cars, and more of a high-roller, I'd consider a BMW M3 or an Audi S4. I just want something I don't have to mess with, so I got a Honda, and my wife a Camry.
Don't know why, but I don;t like BMWs at all. Even the most expensive ones, they just seem too ugly to me. The high priced Mercedes are amazing... seen a few that almost make me drool.
Buy American if you can by all means, next year because of this thread and Rob getting on the industry, the quality of American cars will be much higher folks, so hold off until next year!
Well they need to start making better cars! GM just posted a $4.8 billion dollar loss in one quarter! They just don't get that you just can't cut costs to sell cars. You actually have to make cars that are nice to look at!
Who is to blame for this Rob The Republicans.......it all gets back to oil man!! Go look at the Cadillac and Lincoln trucks and tell me that those 80 Grand chunks of iron are crap!!!
Sorry to jump in so late but I bought a Fusion back in October and I love it! And not seeing many on the road is a good thing, I get admiring looks from other drivers all the time.
i see they're marketing concept why just fuck your girlfriend in your car? now she can birth in there too. comes with optional nurse side panelling, and maternity ward command windows.
