Hello everyone, I was wondering how I would go about forcing the search engines to use my META description. If you go to any search engine and search for a competitor, www.myrtlebeach.com, it comes up and the search engine is using their specific META description. However, when you look up our site in the search engines, www.myrtle-beach.com, the META description is randomly pulled from the content. How do I go about doing this?

You don't have a meta description on myrtle-beach.com.

You would need to add <meta name="description" content=""> inside of your head tags

Thanks, I'm of course having to work with a content management back end, and they provide a place to input the meta tags you need, but i guess they weren't transferring to the website page. Thanks!
