Hi there, I have a small ISP for training purposes and I had a question: can I force ads on Google or Facebook homepage, I know it's illegal, and It's for training purposes only. Thanks Guys.
Yes you can if you use the javascript plugin in firefox, I think it's called greasemonkey. It allows you to run scripts over websites.
Thanks for your replies, but what I meant was as an ISP, forcing ads on users' browsers. e.g: techdirt.com/articles/20110228/11332813302/mediacom-puts-its-own-ads-other-websites-including-google-apple.shtml
If the account (on the ISP) is free, it's not illegal, the ads pay for the account. As far as whether it can be done, of course it can, and there are a few different ways to do it. But that's forcing your ads on the site, not forcing Google's ads on the browser.
Yeah exactly, forcing my ads on sites (but I thought Google homepage is enough for ads, ads on every site may push users back).
Just out of interest, how did you obtain your own ISP? Do you have a fast connection or direct access to a back bone?
Just wondering, that's sweet! I have no idea how you'd go about doing that other than maybe spending tonnes of money. I don't even have fibre to my house yet.
