Forbidden Color Combinations?

I’ve read around that color theorists and designers in fashion or computer graphics have coined phrases based around what colors shouldn’t go together. A couple of them are:”Red and Green Should Not Be Seen” and “Blue and Green Should Never Be Seen without Something in Between”. I am a newbie so I’m not sure if this applies in all cases any opinions on this?

There are obviously some color combination that are horrible together, it comes with practice (or just common sense!)
But sometimes it can happen that a client or person for whom you are doing a design asks you to merge colors you would normally not use together, people have weird tastes :D

I think blue and green look amazing together, green and red also works if it's executed well.

IMO, it's all about execution and the shades you use. If I want 2 weird colors to work together, I'll figure out a way.
