Forbes Publishes Annual List Of World’s Richest, Bill Gates Dethroned By Carlos Slim

    Forbes Magazine has just published their annual list of the world’s richest people, and for the first time in 14 years, Bill Gates has been dethroned from the top spot. The throne is now occupied by Mexican telecom mogul Carlos Slim Helu, with a net worth of $53.5 billion. Helu, who owns various telecom holdings, including giant mobile outfit America Movil (AMX), saw his wealth surge by $18 billion in the past one year.
