I'm getting close to the point were I will be able to leave my regular job and go full time online. When did you leave your job, how did it feel? Did you tell your boss/supervisor what you were doing? I would like to hear about peoples transition experiences. -enote
Firstly, congratulations! I can tell you from first hand experience that the day I left my "day" job was one day I'll never forget. I'd highly recommend throwing a "going away" party and invite friends and coworkers! So long as your business keeps up, you'll never look back. What do you do for a living?
I have left my job 2 year ago coz the salary is not so good. It feel nice and free. Yes,my boss always drink with me after office hour to chat about the latest market movement.
Theres nothing better than working from home and being your own boss. If you make more money at home then outside, then whats the point
Good point Matik. I just want to bank some more before I go all online, because of the way the economy is at the moment, I would feel safer having a bigger savings. It's really tough to find another (half-way-good) job if things slow down in my niches for whatever reason.
hey, I have a word of caution to you. Before leaving your regular job - make sure you have a proven and consistent monthly income (atleast for the past 6 months) thru online job/ business. Things would be horrible if you start testing the waters all of sudden. Working at your own requires great amount of patience and control. Plan well and then leave your job. I personally wish you all success in your endeavors
WOW.. congratulations for you.. That's just great.. That is goal for me, and you managed to do it.. very very congratulations for you..
@ Jaya, Keep working and follow your passion. Remember money follows the passion not the other way around.
I would love to quit my day job. But I would have to have a lot of savings built up first. Plus I'd probably do it part time for a long time, just to keep my sanity.
Very well done, I am hoping one day I can live off my sites as well, it would be nice to work on my own time.
It was a great day for me, I left a technology sales job of 2 years (which was not for me, I am not a born salesman, I just kept getting promoted) It was a smaller company and I did tell everyone what I was doing, and everyone was really supportive. Offered advice, and they were all pretty jealous. Now it`s two years later and I still remember that drive home after my last day......glorious....Now I'm at the point where the thought has crossed my mind "I may never have to work for anyone for the rest of my life" Another good day you get to look forward to. Congrats!
