How long after normally do you return. I am finding this particluar site keeps going in an out of DERPS, however, its now taking longer for it to return and does not stay as long once it comes back. When will this valatility end?
I think your asking a question their really is no answer for. The reason for your page dropping is unknown.
This happened to me and the reason was content and quality as well as google seeing duplicate content. After a complete overhaull of the site, robots.txt and a few other things the site picked up and has gone back to normal and stayed.
I actually have the feeling that the recent drops are related to a site's link profile. There seems to have been a general devaluation of links from certain types of sites and it's also been claimed that links are now strating to devalue over time. The solution seems to be to have a varied link profile, with links from different sources to avoid looking artificial.
I don''t think this still explains why a side whould keep going in and out of SERPS. Sure, I could understand if it dropped slightly for keywords it was giving traffic but not doing a dissapearing act.
Hello, - Keep adding new content and updating the home page... - Keep doing backlinks to your site - I delete some backlinks from Claw keyword sites (I dont remember the correct name of this kind of websites, I mean, these sites that only selling your keyword). The website retourn in 1 month... Best regards, Jakomo
Hello, Oh yes! word clouds, really I dont know if went it, but when I deleted these links, the website lived again in Google Best regards, Jakomo
The site in question keeps coming in and going out of the SERPS. Anyway, what kind of links are yyou suggesting that are bing devalued?
I would tend to agree with what matt said. The recent change seems to be due to a new patent implemented though it's still people's guess. I think obvious outbound links from irrelevant sites might be devalued. But if you are getting from similar or same niche websites, I think you can recover the position. But honestly, I wouldn't be able to answer what's exactly happening. I would need to see your site and check some things first of all. And check your link profile, etc. But I suspect that your site is under 6 months unless you didn't do SEO much for a long time.
If a site is bouncing around in the SERPS it's usually because it's either dropped or jumped and not all of the datacentres have had time to update yet. I'm working on a theory that poor quality directory links have been devalued, although there is another theory that older links start to lose their value also.
Your rankings would depend on how you do your SEO on your site. If your site gone from SERP, it's up to you on how would you gain your rankings again.
The site in question is around 13 months old. For the first year, google provided staedy referrals, but since it became about a year old, the site keeps bouncing in out from the SERPS. The time might be a coincidence, though.
My best guess to your question is: links which have the anchor text irrelevant to the context are the ones being devalued. Ideally the links purchased should be in a body of text which contains relevant information (secondary keywords) to the keyword you are promoting. Links in posts in high PR blogs would seem the ideal venue of generating links now together with articles submitted to article directories. Again this is an educated guess, however I have had some limited success with this approach for my blog. Regards, George
There is several factors to why your website is dropping then coming back. 1. they could be reindexing the pages, and trying to find the "appropriate place", to put your website. 2. You need more google juice, so try to build up more quality relevant links to your site, therefor it will be more set position instead of moving around all the time, if yo notice the websites that bounce up, and down are smaller website, but the website that set like stone, are the ones that are blown up with google juice.
