Also, if you have a website that you are say making a consistent $500.00 USD a month, what $$$ would you sell the website for? $50,000? Based on what? Adsense + potential $$ for other ads/sales + traffic x 25 years? Say $300,000? 300k is not a lot, not to me here in Canada anyway. It might be to someone in another country though that they can comfortably retire early with. What would be a good way to sell websites online? Feebay? And what if someone wants your revenue figures 'before' committing to buying your website? How would you disclose this private info w/o risk of nosy ppl just asking for the sake of asking with no interest of buying?
You should check out the buying and selling of sites on DP and SitePoint. Generally people price it for x times the current monthly income. Usually sites go for 8-12 times the monthly income.
Never thought so... Thinking about constant income, will rather keep it as it is. Invest and make other one. When it comes to the same point, sell one of it. Just my point of view...
I have sold about 5-10 sites, take too much time now I just focus on that passive recurring income and make sure that I launch at least 50 websites/month. Buyers from Flippa: 1) Hate trademarked domain names. 2) Want 3 months proof of profit. 3) 3 months Analytics. (not everybody use Analytics etc) 4) Only want .com.
Nope, would not sell it. And unlike many here, even if adsense disappeared tomorrow and no other programs filled the resulting void, I would STILL keep the site, STILL keep adding content to it...much like I did before there was such a thing as "Google"
