If you want to kickstart your forum and don't want to pay but you are willing to make some post exchange check out PostFusion in AdmniFusion forums. Everything is automated and worth trying.

Its a cool idea...I'll give it that but there is something about uploading encrypted code to your server that makes me have reservations.

Hmm didn't think of that ... but I am sure the owners have good intentions. Maybe I am too trustful

I have been scouring the forum for any posts about Security but haven't found any...Also no mention in the FAQ.

There are no exploit reports in that part of the forum although Im not sure if they delete them once they are taken care of.

I guess I would just like to see what they are getting access to as you sign an agreement that gives them the right to use your forums info....Just doesn't say what info or how they are allowed to use it.

Hey guys, this is Ryan from AdminFusion :)

I have replied to your thread over at AF and just wanted to let you know here. There is indeed an agreement that you sign upon installing PostFusion which also states our Privacy Policy. As iatbm said, we only have good intentions - we have nothing to gain from exploiting you and everything to lose. PostFusion has been running successfully for 4+ months now with no security or privacy problems. We do realize, however, that anything can be exploited as long as the exploiter knows what he/she is doing, and this is why that when you install PF, you do so at your own risk (also stated in the agreement) - but you have our word that there is no known exploit for it and we have never once had a problem with it.

If one were to arise, we would address it ASAP and disable PostFusion all together if needed to protect our user's forums. We do not expect any of this to ever happen, but it's always better to be safe than sorry ;)

Thanks for spreading the word, iatbm...I'm glad to see people truly enjoying it, and I'm hoping that you will as well, yfs1 :)

Didn't realize Ryan=GTAce, I'm glad its a DP member that came up with a cool system for an idea thats been tried before (I got burnt in a previous program where it had really bad bugs and I found myself accused of cheating it. Lol, I couldn't even figure out how it worked)

Anyway, best of luck and yes I am trying it ;)

PS. Do people drop off the list when they get to -25? It looks that way and if so, thats a great addition that others have screwed up.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the previous system...very buggy and unsupported indeed. I was actually a member of that system and used it quite a bit, but after I saw it go down and not come back up, I decided to make my own by capitalizing on their mistakes. I can't claim that this is the first time somebody has ever done this, because it isn't. I'm grateful to those who came up with the idea originally - it helps out a lot of people.

Regarding the cut-off point, yes, it is -25

This doesn't mean that they are removed from the system...once they get back up to -25, their forums will appear on the list again...you know the reasoning behind this, so there's no sense in me explaining it :p ...Honestly, I think that the cut-off should be something like -5 or -10...but for now it is -25

Actually 0 wouldn't be too far fetched but I think the -25 is a good compromise. I think there were poeple on the other system at -300 which was ridiculous.

Its good to know a program that seems to work (I'll find out how well over the next week) which I can point people towards that are looking to jumpstart activity on their forum but don't want to pay for it.

    Cheers

This does look like an interesting system. I am going to be testing it out as well.

I've used it - it can be effective, but you still need to actively participate yourself.

    Yes, definitely, Lpsider

Just as any post exchanging or paid posting goes - it is meant to be a supplment for your forums, it is not meant to be the sole source of posts for your forums. You'll need to find more sources of posts in addition to PostFusion...whether advertising elsewhere, getting your friends in there, or posting yourself!

Once you make high amount of positive balance it is hard to keep that position. I am thinking that some of us are already competing who will have the biggest winnie ;)
