Let's face it: there are many people on this forum that are teens. They may not want to admit it, but it's true. Some want work on the internet, some have their own hosting companies, and some are just here to hang out. I'll admit it, I'm one of those teenagers. I worked for two web hosting companies before going off and starting my own. Recently, I attended a teen business conference. At the conference, there were many teens just like me: they owned their own internet companies. Some were just starting out, and others were very successful. I met with plenty of them and exchanged ideas, business cards, and advice. I left that conference with more ideas for my business. Many on this forum, and the world in general, view teen web professionals as immature, idiotic, brats who just want to make a buck. But let's face it: we are the future of the world. In 20 years, we'll be running companies, making laws, and controlling today's adults' Social Security - if it still exists. And we can be successful, as I saw at the conference. As one of the speakers at another conference I attended said, "Don't let others bring you down because of your age. You can go out there and change things right now." When I exchanged ideas at that conference with other teen web professionals, I knew both the person I was talking with and I benefited. So, what if teen web designers had a place where they could exchange ideas and network on a more massive scale? What if we had a place where we could learn more about the web from people who have been in this business since the beginning of the internet? What if we had an organization just for web professionals, teens and adults? It could all be possible. If we simply group together, we could do it. We could enhance our knowledge of the web, network, and return to our homes to build better businesses. I would like to start an organization for teen web professionals, where we could meet, video chat, learn from our peers, and become more successful than we already are. Maybe it could be called The Future Web Professionals of America (FWPA) or, if a global interest grows, the Future Web Professionals of the World (FWPW). This organization could benefit us greatly. But I can't start an organization without support. No, not financial support - that can wait. But human support. If you are a teen web professional and would be interested in an organization just for us, reply here or send me a PM. I would love to know that there are others out there who agree with me. Also, any feedback or suggestions from anyone would be appreciated. I hope to hear from you.
Excellent! I'll send you a PM with instructions on joining the group shortly. There's plenty of other people on this forum that have joined.
