Therein is my dilemma. The site has obviously made more but all the revenue I can actually claim (because it's all I have actual proof of) is $19.96 so far this month. I did a copy and paste job on the YPN code and had the tracking code for Hoopstalk on the top banner but the footer banner near the quick reply (that gets the most clicks) I had the code for onlyriddles.com. I literally just noticed that moments ago as I don't really track Onlyriddles revenue since it has been sucking lately. Only proof I can offer is I can show you the revenue spikes on OnlyRiddles revenue so you can see it's obviously not doing it on it's own. I'm "estimating", conservatively that it counted about $20 to $30 in revenue that should have been credited to HoopsTalk. So Hoopstalk is still on track to being a $100/month site minimum.

Also please note I've installed the quick ban hack as well as vbAdManagement earlier today. That's why you see ads in the forumbit on the homepage. This can easily be turned off via the admin panel or made to be viewable only to guests.

Can you quickly discuss how the Sim League works? I'm assuming it is included with the sale.

Basically it's a fantasy basketball league where our forum members run fantasy seasons with teams of their choosing. The participants act as General Managers of the teams so they execute trades, drafts, games, and run imaginary scenarios outside the game like injuries etc.

The way it works is our Sim Admin (DTop) runs the stats locally with a program on his computer that outputs the game results and everything in HTML format. I have a special FTP login set up for him that gives him access to the Sim folder only. He uploads the fresh stats every few days.

On the subject of DTop and the other staff they basically run the forum. I don't have to login at all if I don't want to. There are 2 admins and 2 moderators. All I have to do is come in and fix vbulletin related stuff that they can't handle themselves though they've learned vb rather quickly.

So basically the site runs itself. Just needs a little more promotion to take it to www.big-boards.com status.

 

Last call. If it doesn't sell today I will place this up on sitepoint and multiple other forums.

I'd like some more info on signups, top posters and the like from vbulletin. Also I'd like to know if the mods are likely to stay around. Also what about the incoming links?

And yes the mods are definitely there to stay. Even when the board was down for days when my server had issues just when i was in the middle of converting to vbulletin, they all came right back.
