For sale: Fastpaths Web Directory

Due to less free time than I had when I began this project and the continuing high volume of submissions, I have decided to auction Fastpaths Web Directory to the highest bidder. This auction begins today (6th July 05) and will end midnight GMT friday. Starting bid US$40, payment by Paypal please. Deal is for the website code, database, and domain name, but not hosting.

The directory has a clean Yahoo-esque layout that's both surfer and SEO friendly. The backend hasn't been developed very far, but is more than adequate for basic submission review - a screenshot can be found here: it allows editing of each part of the submission, a link to each submission in a new browser window and options to accept, reject or ban the site.

It is a new website and was made just before the last update, so caught a lucky PR of 0. It's well linked for submissions, receiving around 20 per day. There are currently 1016 websites listed in the directory, and (as I write) the submission queue has just been processed and is empty

Backlinks are minimal as I haven't really promoted it much other than getting listings on seocompany.ca, vilesilencer etc. to get webmaster traffic. This is a relatively new site with decent submission rates and a unique look and feel, there are currently no ads running on it.

Also in the deal are the keyword supply & demand and tagnorati tools found on the front page under tools.

Some more info in RE: to a PM--

The domain is with godaddy. It would be easy to setup advertising on each page, as there's only one php file that's included by all the different directory sections that actually generates the content - so it'd be one change to put it on every page.

The front page has 2 externally powered feeds, the Alexa search one and the AP one. Both are automatically scheduled as cron jobs.

The script is home made using PHP with a MySQL backend. I forgot to mention there's an admin script to add new categories too that's as simple as it gets to use.

Most of the traffic comes via referral from the info.vilesilencer.com and seocompany.ca directory lists, and from a few other decent directory sites. According to awstats a lot of the traffic is from direct entry into the browser/favourites, so probably a lot of repeat visits from busy webmasters.
