I had an idea that I wanted to propose that may be a little off topic to some. However, I'm going to be moving out of state and considered posting ads on CL and other locations for Jobs. Would it be worth my time setting up a free wordpress blog, and use it as a resume? Considering I'm still young and don't have a college degree. I suppose I'm just interested in the response. I'll let you guys know how everything plays out.

I am not quite sure if I understand what difference will it make, since you can post your resume directly in the resume section of CL. I am pretty sure you can get more inquiries from potential employers that way rather than driving them to a blog. Most employers won't even go to a blog since CL itself has more credibility in their eyes.

It somewhat seems like it might be a waste of time. It may turn off some job seekers, as they may feel you're just spamming when it takes them to another site, and not even click on them.

So the difference posting on craigslist is making it more official? Theres nothing wrong with building your resume on wordpress site, just make sure its only a splash page of what your skills are, and that should be good. Possibly grab your name, as your website name.

    Example: jamesbyun.com

I've never come across anyone who has done this but you can always test it out. Theoretically it appears to be a decent enough idea, but I have to admit that I'm a little inclined to agree with Ttdub -- if you post to a link, it may be perceived by some as spam.
