As we all know, PayPal is no more allowing money to be sent through PayPal balance for Indian users. You need to fund your payment through credit card linked to your account.

While linking credit card it shows two option 1) You can send money such that your CC will be billed in INR 2) You can send money such that your CC will be billed in USD.

From exchange rate point of view, Which option do you think will be better?

@bohra - There is a difference. For pt 1) mentioned in my post above, conversion will take place at PayPal end while for pt 2) mentioned above conversion will take place at your credit card bank.

Irrespective of the day's exchange rate as available on finance sites, you will find that PayPal or your banks will have their own different rates. That's the reason I asked this question.

Okay..Just for your information. I did two transactions worth $6.97 at the same time (difference was not more than 10 mins) , one converting to INR at PayPal's end and other converting to INR at my credit card issuer bank. At Paypal's end the conversion amounted to 317.94 while at my CC issuer bank the conversion was 320.64. So at least as of now PayPal is the winner.

It will be great to see results of others who have done such testing at their end.
