I have made a few tutorials before for some people, and they where all satisfied. I make my video tutorials in a timely manner. I make sure to make them as high quality as possible. I just saw your tutorial you made for one of the client. But it was no close to woww.. Rather i feel dis-satisfied. It seems you just read tutorial, practiced tutorial and then used some screen activity recording tool to record the tutorial in action. However, video do covers everything, but its only for someone who is familiar with photoshop. You used photoshop tools but your tutorial never mentioned which tool you used. Since i am familiar with photoshop so i could easily spot tool from its icon but a starter would never be able to do so. Since streaming videos don't support zooming feature so one would find it damn hard to read especially one with low eye sight. Moreover, i felt i was watching a silent movie with no sound in boring. It was same experience like i am sitting in presentation room with by ears closed because its too boring. You should have added sound. If i wasn't reviewing your video tutorial, i would have skipped it and played some other video. I believe you don't even bothered to see video and edit it after you have completed adding recording. Ya you just took time to add your site or your client site's url at beginning. If you have edited it, you would have removed some frames making your video a bit fast. At beginning, when you were opening photoshop, your computer took so much time (though in second but it do irritates especially one's with dial up connection since it takes few min for them to buffer few seconds and after they finished buffering they find video is still their.) Sorry, i am not at all insulting or challenging you. Their is nothing personal. I just wanted to let you know some of disapproving features a lay man will have when he looks at your work. Also saying this " All those are made for me, and do not portray my full potential. " in your post is totally useless. One would just form bad image about you. As a designer, you are supposed to present best face of yours to your clients with awesome art works. Most of the clients know what they need, and how to achieve it or may b they can easily do it by reading tutorial, but only thing that makes them search for person like you is finishing. By reading tutorial you can't have that elegant finish.
Thanks For your honest review, I did not put my full potential into any of those, and yea I regret it, That tutorial was requested by him he wanted something simple and he told me to make it about that. Yes I know I did not spend that much time on it, he wanted it fast and for me to make something good, editing it writing a script etc... Takes time.
