For Filipinos: Paypal Question

I am a Filipino and I recently tried to transfer my Paypal funds to my Xoom account. Unfortunately, my account became a "limited account". Apparently, the Paypal to Xoom money transfer was a bit hazy and may cause regular accounts to become a limited account. Sadly, I only found out about this AFTER submitting a request to transfer the money from Paypal to Xoom. So, goodbye $210. :(

    Anyway, my question is:

I have just signed up for an EON card (from Unionbank) online so that I can use it to verify my account and withdraw funds from Paypal. I have heard a lot of people have already done that but I have not ACTUALLY talked to one that was successful in doing this.

For those who have, can you tell me about your experience? Does it really work?

    Thanks.

    :)

Well I do know a bit on how to use it. And I have heard that it actually works. What I am asking is if someone here in DP has actually done it.

This might help you out on how to use it for Paypal:

    http://www.jozzua.com/2007/10/20/two-problems-with-the-unionbank-eon-paypal-setup/

The comments of the people there were very informative. :)

Anyway, I have heard that you need to contact Unionbank's CUSTOMER SERVICE and not the BANK EMPLOYEES because the people at the bank would not know anything about Paypal.

    I hope this helps. :)

And I hope that if there are pinoys in here who were able to actually withdraw funds from Paypal to their EON card reply to this.

    I need assurance. ;)

Hello digital writer. I have successfully withdrawn from my EON account. After recieving your card, deposit around 200 pesos and wait a few days before you will be able to add your EON card to paypal. After adding the card, paypal will charge you $1.95 to verify your card and be eligible for their expanded use. The $1.95 will be credited to your paypal account when you make a spend. Wait around 5 banking days and call the unionbank customer service to get your EXPUSE number to finally verify your debit card. Hope this helps.
