Is it just me? I'm receiving many submissions from India (websites from India and visitors from this country . Some of this websites are good, but most of them are not. This week this problem got worst than before.

I also noticed this name megrisoft. This name keeps appearing in my submissions. Does anyone know about megrisoft? I would like to know more info about this person/group. I will do some searches about this name in this forums, but if you have some information please let me know.

    Anyone with this problem?

    Thanks for your answers!

There are a lot of Directory Submittal Teams based in India & other countries in Asia

The majority of these guys do a top job and have good rep here on DP but as with any product you are going to have to sort 'the wheat from the chaffe'

Part of the negative side of being a Directory Owner is that during the Approval Process you have to sort the quality submittals from the spammy type submittals

All directories have this problem to deal with to lessen the 'rogue submittals' making your directory all paid reduces the bad submittals significantly

There is a kind of temporary stop that is block the incoming IP to your site, however please note this may only stop the flow for short time as they can change the incoming IP Address to a new IP and the submittals will increase again

Welcome to the Directory World don't worry re your quote Is it just me?

No it happens to us all

As british guy told making your directory as a piad directory reduces the site submissions and also when you have a paid directory you would only have
    some good submissions

Thanks for your replies. This is the last month I will accepting free submission. I have few ideas for my directory beginning next year. I just going to deal for a few more weeks.
So far my directory doing well and I hope to make it much better next year.

Some submission seems to be automatic.

Do they use an automatic submission tool?

I would say at this point, 60 to 65% of submissions to my directory are from Inida. Out of that number, I suspect around 70% of them as non-worthy.

When I started my directory, the intention was to keep it free. Initially, the submissions were mostly for good sites. Eventually it turned into about 70% extraordinarily crappy, spammy sites. I'd have 100+ submissions every morning and had to reject the majority of them, mostly for obvious violations of my guidelines. As soon as I put a $2 price on regular submissions, 99% of the garbage submissions stopped.

Well if the submission are by bots i dont assume making it paid will stop it, instead it will make it so you get a lot of unpaid paid submissions ;p

I also get an unaturally high submission rate of sites from India. As stated earlier they are often welldesigned and they do a good job in marketing them.
And if the websites live up to the general guidelines, they get approved nomatter where they are from

I get a few every so often from this submitter, but the sites aren't all Indian. It's a SEO service, and they claim to do manual directory submission.
