For directories - Does PPC/CPM marketing works ??

I have seen two heavy promotions recently though Google Adwords on DP...

First it was for gii.in and then for web1directory.com

Can anybody tell, Do they work in terms of submissions ?

 

i have not really tried adwords for promoting my site.i did start a campiagn and let it run a few days..think i got 5 clicks maybe.i think your better off buying links and submitting to other sites myself

 

Marketing always works if set up correctly
But if the campaigns are not focused then the results will not show a ROI

 

Why not ask the owners of gii.in and web1directory.com directly?

 

I won't get into numbers, but I've got cost per conversion statistics available to me via Adwords (or Analytics).

As people always say, keep on tweeking, and eventually you'll find some things that work... whether it is CPC or CPM. However, what works for each model can be very different.

 

I thought it would be nice to get an opinion from all ( also from both owners too here )

 

I think i tried PPC a while back, but i didn't have my ROI script setup so its abit hard to tell if it was a success or not! But i think CPM may work well if your ads put in the eyes of the right audience
