I am starting a website which discusses ways college students can make money from their dorm rooms.

Visitors should be able to read, comment, and add ideas.

Which CMS might be best? I'm already familiar with Xoops and happy to use that unless you know something better.

Please let me know your price to set up a CMS with news/article module... change theme, adsense placement, etc.

I have fantastico and can get the basic theme... need help with the rest.

Would like it done today if possible.

Preference given to someone who can do this in Xoops.

    Other CMS systems considered.

Please reply or PM with your price and experience.

    Thanks!
    Paula S :)

Sounds like wordpress would probably work for you if you thought of that.

That would be fine if visitors could submit articles as well.

I've never used WP but thought only the admins wrote articles.

Will pay someone to set that up on the theme I choose if it allows for visitor imput of ideas and adsense placement.

    Thanks for the idea Aaron!

Ya on WP anyone can register and you can set permissions on what they can do. Basically they can login and post articles.

Are you looking for someone to set it up and change the graphical theme or just set it up? If you want it installed and setup I can do it for ya.

My favorite CMS is e107...it does have a "Submit News" (I could change it to "Submit Article" or something) feature for people to submit articles to be posted on the front page. I also have a hack to make the site search engine friendly...let me know if you want my help.

    1) I'm interested in possibly joining your community once it's up, nice idea.

    2) If you do not get any acceptable offers, I'll do it for $40, but I want a whole week to work on it (quality not quanity). You can pay all at the start or 50% down and 50% when complete (your choice).

    3) Experience and details: You will get to choose between several looks, and provide daily input, if you wish. I have hundreds of hours of experience modifying open source CMS code, but do not have samples I'm willing to show (top-secret projects ).

    Thanks,
    MGH
