Of course yes..this is to make sure that you owned the check..

Do you? I've not heard that before.
It's usually pretty simple - if it has your name on (eg. the name of the account) you can pay it straight in without the need for annotating it.

no i don't think i have to sign on the back of the check i just went to my bank with the check and ask them to clearing this check for me and put it into my account and i gave them my account number , the name on the check is the same like the one on my account so no need to approve that is my check and also no need to sign on it's back.

If you are depositing 100% there shouldn't be a need to sign, however many banks will request it. And I've seen cases where (unscrupulous) people working for a company will add the words "or NAME" to the payee line and deposit it into their own account...so, you may have to sign it, shouldn't be a big deal and the bank will tell you when you make the attempt.

A bit OT, but here's a tip when writing a check...on the payee line, when you've finished the name of the payee, draw a solid line through the rest of the blank space on the line, that way if the check is intercepted someone won't be able to write the "or OTHER NAME" without writing over the line and arousing suspicion.
