(for beginners) KEYWORDS. Should I bother to use this meta tag anymore?

    Meta Keyword tag is only for Yahoo...they take into consideration about ordering of keywords and no of keywords in meta tag..dont stuff it with too much keywords and keep order of keywords from more important to less important keywords

    Google mostly ignores those meta-tags. That being said, I have never heard anybody say it did any damage to your PR or SERP. So I prefer to have them, they may not help, but the don't hurt.

    Like some have said, google & msn no and yahoo yes.

    I think the amount of effort that it takes really isn't too much if it would help. If you're putting 500 webpages online every day (don't know why you would) then it'll probably be a headache.

    But you always need keywords to rank, so you might as well just add them in there!

    i have only 19 keywords in keyword meta tag.

    Bottom line, google and msn no. Yahoo and other small SE's yes. Just use about 15-30 of them and also use them 2 or 3 times a each in your page and call it a day.
