For anyone who thinks Illegals are good for our Economy

More than $519 billion in social security benefits have been given out to illegal immigrants using FAKE social security cards.

You can't get an aspirin at a hospital in California for less than $60, because they give them to illegals for free.

Illegals go ahead of the line of American citizens in hospitals, and get free treatment.

Taxpayers are the ones who suffer.

The Corporations who hire these illegals suffer INDIRECTLY by a stagnating economy. They just are run by CEO's who get bonuses based on short term profits.

I think the whole debate is barking up the wrong tree. Illegals happen because there is demand for their labor. Once that stops, so will illegal immigration. People can say that "we should seal off our border," but we don't mean it, as the cost of actually doing so is insanely prohibitive - that's a lot of border, north and south.

I maintain that until those legally here wish to work the sweatshops; wish to stoop for years on end over fields, and climb the citrus groves of California; wish to break their backs as day laborers or wash dishes at minimum wage, 15hours a day; Until those legally here wish to take these jobs, these jobs will be filled by those illegals willing to take them.

I can also speak, from years of experience in the restaurant trade, of the incredible work ethic I have known among the many people coming from South of the Border. To be honest, I don't know how many were or were not illegal. All I have known is that they know the first dictum of the kitchen trade: Someone once asked Jacques Pepin what it was to be a Chef; he replied, "you want to know what eet ees to be a Chef? Two words: BUST ASS."

These people regularly pull 20 hour days, 7 days a week, and don't complain a bit. They work hard to sustain their families and they have my highest respect.

Here in Portugal they provided a very useful service.

Brazilians: crime, prostitution, also kidnapping children and Churches “Evangelical” Just destroying the work real evangelicals have been doing for decades.
African: armed robbery, ghettos. Many Africans from ex-colonies do actually take part in society and contribute "criminals are in fact a small percentage".
Ukraine: Crime syndicates, Mafia. I think this is the minority because a lot do try to make a decent living working in the construction sector and other areas in which Portuguese don’t want to work.

If you do a web search regarding these topics I’m sure you’ll find more than enough evidence of this. Brazilian prostitution in Portugal got to a point that even Time magazine did and article on it.

I have NEVER said I am against immigration.

Just illegal immigration. Come to Texas, and look at the border. Dead bodies, underwear from raped women. Drugs.

Heck even Guns! Liberals want to take guns away from law-abiding citizens.
Why not take them away from illegals crossing the border first!

I saw a mexican with an AR-15 assault rifle crossing myself.

Gotta run away from them. "Zetas" they call themselves. Paramilitary drug commandos.

Oh so the demand for drugs will just disappear? :D
What about the demand for black market guns?
Or the demand for some cheap prostitutes?

And the mexicans will just stop stealing too? And groups like La Raza (the Race), and Aztlan will just stop promoting La Reconquista, the reconquest of SouthWest USA?

If they can't get free medical care, they won't come here.

I once took a look at some corporate executive bonuses. Then I took a look at the number of employees they had and gave them a 10 Dollar an hour raise. I added 30% for the cost of administration.

I could not in no way shape or form hurt the bonus, let alone the actual profit the company made.

The fact that americans don't want the jobs is a lie. Americans want the jobs, but want to be paid fairly.

If we increase the wage for those services, the price of the products and services won't go up, the executive bonuses would go down. And no corporate executive is going to allow that! So they lie and say it would increase costs. All because some talking head needs a 200 million dollar bonus as opposed to a 100 million dollar bonus on top of a rediculous salary. Yet this person says Americans want too much. Go figure.

So at the end of the day, the corps attract the illegals, and the tax payers foot the bill for cheap labor, expensive medical care of uninsured mirgrant workers, extra security and even the deaths of American citizens.

    A true fleecing of America.

Have sources for any of these statements? I've been trying to form a conclusion for myself on how I believe the immigration problems should be addressed and haven't seen any of these figures anywhere else so I'd like to know if they're actuals and accurate, or just something someone pulled out of a hat?

Hospitals don't buy asprins, they get them for free (then charge $3 each or more to patients) from phamaceutical company sales people as an 'incentive'--so I find it very hard to believe illegals have anything to do with what price they charge patients.

Anyway, I'm not looking to debate your claims here, just seeking sources for them.

    Thanks,
    Scott

He doesn't provide sources for any of the claims (or "facts" as he likes to call them) he makes. It's most likely completely made up or 20% true, as we've already seen in his "30% comedy central" thread.

The illegals I've worked with have had a lot higher opinion of America than most Democrats do.

They wanted to settle down here, raise kids and send them to school so that their kids didn't have to work as construction laborers and melon pickers all of their lives. They saw America as making that opportunity possible for them.

I think there is way too many of them, they should be documented and apply for for immigration just like anyone else who comes here.

They shouldn't just be a de facto citizen because they climbed a fence. Also there is not just good little worker immigrants, who will clean your house for cheap, when I was in california some of worst gangsters where illegals from mexico and south america.

We need to secure our border, regarless what immigration policy happens after , its all BS unless we seal the border.

I agree. I'm all for an exchange program. I'd be more than happy to exchange all the pansy liberals who "hate" this country and do nothing but complain to Mexico in exchange for someone who wants to be here, who thinks this country is about opportunity and are not afraid to work for a living. Give em the liberal's jobs, salaries, homes, cars and possessions. No doubt they would be grateful!

*That* would certainly raise the bar in this country. I'd much rather have people here that want to be here, than those that do not. I can just imagine the headlines like "Deported Liberals Are Crossing Borders at an Alarming Rate." The sweet irony of seeing liberals picking lettuce and strawberries for "slave" wages :D

Couldn't have said it better myself :D

The country is wide open to terrorists who want to walk across the border, yet some foolish people believe invading Iraq and causing thousands to die will some how stop them from walking across the mexican border

Speaking of ungrateful people leaving the country, have you made a departure date yet? I seem to recall a while back you said how much you hated it here and were planning to move.

I might be interested in buying your Escort. A friend of the family who isn't well off has a son I'm sure would appreciate it.
