? For Affiliates Using Craigslist For Marketing

I have a question for those of you using Craigslist and affiliate programs together. I've been doing it for 2+ years and never had a problem, and then this week I had 2 different affiliate companies complain about it.

I normally just take the link and mask it using a url shortner program. But evidentally, the affiliate company can still trace the traffic coming from it back to craigslist.

Is there a way to avoid having the traffic traced back to craigslist? Or what affiliate companies are you using that they're not complaining?

I'd appreciate any help anyone can give :)

What is their reason for this? You can try out those by affiliate network such as PayDotCom or CB though. :)

How are you getting away with using affiliate programs on C/L. I thought they were against that? I'd be interested in exactly how you do it.

Try to drive the traffic to your site first

You could double mask it, where you have the CL link that redirects to another redirect.

Or could you do it based on e-mails as well? Like have them e-mail you with an auto-response back with the affiliate link?

I would find out what is wrong with that, before changing anything. It could even turn out that they are confused!

What affiliate company do you use? I have never had an affiliate company complain that I used craigslist.

I have an idea that might work for you. You could always just try not spamming craigslist and begin real affiliate marketing instead. I know it's a radical idea, but it actually works for some folks. Just an idea.

Just make your own landing page that links to the program. Anybody complaining about this would get taken out of my rotation though, it's silly.
