I have a question for AdWord Pro's. I am considering using adwords for the first time. I don't know much except for what I've read on there site. Any suggestions, strategies, tips?

Once you've read their site, there are a few decent free guides to Adwords online.

    Mine's at http://www.adwordsprofessional.com/google-adwords-introduction

    As a few quick tips:

    1) Don't bid more than your clicks are worth to you. Once you know your conversion rate and average order value, then you'll know what your breakeven bid is.

    2) Write good adverts. Include the keywords in there to improve your Quality Score (which is CRITICAL), and write adverts that get people's attention. Don't be boring, and make sure your advert doesn't blend into the middle of the others.

    3) Test new adverts, and keywords regularly.

    4) Don't let your budget run out before the end of the day. Reduce your bids a bit, and you'll get more clicks for the same spend.

    5) Use Exact Match on every relevant word and phrase that you can think of. Try Phrase Match, but run regular Search Query Reports to make sure that you aren't appearing for irrelevant terms.

    6) Check your account regularly. If there's a significant change in search volumes, or new advertisers appear (or advertisers disappear), you'll need to adjust your bids.

    Hope that helps you some...
