"I've had my site up for about 1 and a half month. And in Google i'm ranked in first page in about 30 keywords (according to my stats), and #1 & #2 in about 17."

Execute, how did you do that so quick..? amazing!

I think you are lucky :) I've made one site in Spanish, it was on the first position in MSN after one week (actually you need only some links with your keywords), but in Yahoo I've got the first position only after a month.

I am getting next to no traffic from Yahoo and it is driving me mad! Google is great, but after 7 months, I'm still waiting for Yahoo to play ball:(

I get 11% of traffic from Yahoo, 33% from MSN, 54% from Google, and 2% from "other."

How long to rank in Yahoo?

This is best expressed by a symbol that I do not know how to render, but resembles the number eight turned on its side.

    YMMV.:D

Inbound links definitely seem to make a deference. I put up a small site and with recommendations from Server and others on the forum I put together some backlinks on various sites. Saw some results pretty quickly.

Comes in waves for me, Every once in a while Yahoo will catch up with Google and MSN in what it sends me then it remains domant for a while, as in nothing at all.

MSN and Google have been neck and neck for a while.

Same for me. I lauched a new site in mid Jan and have good back links already. Google and MSN have indexed the entire site while Yahoo only 57 pages with old titles. Ranking already in Google for the articles and MSN for a few terms. Yahoo nothing.

Yahoo is very slow. It seems to favor bigger directory like sites.

Its quite odd. Ever since Google lowered my rank because of Bigdaddy, for some reason there is extra spam sites with bigdaddy, and sites that arent as good. I use to get almost ALL my visitors from google. Ever since bigdaddy that number has plummetted, and suprisingly, Yahoo is bringing me lotsa traffic...

Coincidence or Conspiracy? ^_^ (have fun argueing)

Actually having a hard time understanding. What do you mean "Google lowered your rank because of Bigdaddy"?

When bigdaddy happened, whatever it was, something about a bigger datacenter which i fail to understand, since google was doing a good job already, why add more spam sites?

KEy words that were once 7,000,000 results turned into 20,000,000. The google search results have started to become irrelevant, and less correctly targetted. For example i cannot find good sites on python or C anymore. I'm surrounded by junk!!! THankfully before i found a few good sites.

When some search terms doubled and tripled the amount of results full of spam, it has caused sites with quality information like mine to slip by.
This may seem unimportant to some people, but for me it has been devastating, because i had atleast 200-300 google terms that were bringing me a lot of traffic. Then suddenly on february 10th or something, when bigdaddy replaced some datacenters... the 200-300 google terms bringing me traffic fell to about 10... I lost a lot of traffic, for no apparent reason.

When i had never gotten yahoo traffic before, i suddenly have been receiving heavy traffic from yahoo, which i didn't even know existed!!! Now is this coincidence or is something going on? My statistics are quite accurate, and i track them daily, and google has almost dropped off the map. Only a couple of terms actually bring me traffic from google. It is seriously a bad move for Google.

Yes spam sites have risen to the top in Google lately, since last week one of my sites suddenly got onto the first page of Google from absolutely nowhere (it's not a spam site but is an affiliate rich site).

Now the downside to this is that Yahoo dropped the same site from it's first page for all my terms.....and the traffic from Yahoo was much more and better qualified than what I receive from Google.
