I have a site that uses rss to get some news. I am getting the following error:

Warning: fopen(http://www.cheatharvest.info/gnews/news.php?num=10&q=videogames|ign|gamespot): failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found in /home/vcheats/public_html/headlines.php on line 56
    Error reading RSS data

Can anyone translate that to plain English?

Yes, your php script is requesting the page http://www.cheatharvest.info/gnews/news.php?num=10&q=videogames|ign|gamespot, and failing with a 404.

Try the same request from your server, maybe they are blocking you for some reason, and sending you a 404 purposely.

You should use a program like carp to pull newsfeeds, not some homebrew that uses fopen.

Is it free? This is for a site I just bought, have no idea at all of how a RSS feeds work, so I guess I will have to hire a programmer from Scriptlance to take a look
