I have around 20 websites and I don't intend on getting anymore but I was just wondering if it is too much to have like 20 footer links on every page of your site?
I you really want the links on every page, maybe split them up and do 5 per page. Duplicate links from the same IP have a drastically reduced value, so there is no need to have all 20 on the same page.
I use many links in all the pages and there its no problem with that. Eventualy you can group the links and put them in your site sidebars.
Just maintain the amount of your outbound links compared to your inbound links. Remember that you must have more inbound links than outbound links
before you do this you must think some think * are your sites are related to each other? * are your sites hosted on different ips? if you are saying no to both questions, linking your sites to each other will hurt your serp
very well said trichnosis. one of my sites is banned from Yahoo because I did some interlinking like this. and even after I cleaned up the mess Yahoo doesn't want to index it.
Do you plan to interlink your 20 sites? Possibly not, but I said that because the same number figured for the number of sites and footer links? If you do plan to interlink, are the sites on different c-classes? And the niche needs to be taken into consideration as well.....
I would not add 20 links in your footer. Especially if it is to your other sites in your network. I guess you have all these at the same host? This means they are all on the same IP - Google will simply devalue these links.
