Please I need help! Can i place my link in footer? in wp,blogger themes! I'm using bad english so i don't know how to ask you guys! I have blog resources blog about(blogger and wordpress themes). Can I download a theme put it on my site,host it and add link in footer like found on www.*****.com? So only my readers who download themes that i recommend will have additional link in footer It means when people download themes from mine sites they will have backlink to my site. Sponsored links are not deleted. My link is just added as found on "link" I think that people who created that theme won't be angry because I'm spreading their links to.So I help them and i help myself. Regards!
It should have stated the terms in the license or on the webpage you downloaded the theme from as to whether you can or cannot modify the file. If not it's a "grey" area as you aren't restricted from doing so. That being said it's the same as any link on the page and I don't see why the author would object as long as their links are left intact. However, you should just email the author and ask.
No. You can't put your link in someone else's design without their permission. Many times those are paid links, not only that but it's unethical and kind of like stealing. If you want to put your links in the footer of a design, either make your own, or sponsor one.
