If the footer is linked with your own subpages then you don't have to worry about !
There is no plenty from google with such condition . However if you place links to some other sites in your site's footer and someone report these links to google then you will get plenty !

Thanks everyone for your excellent feedback!

In the footerlinks I have a query for example : page.html?x=1&y=2&z=3 my website is a property website, with this link it helps the user to quickly find certain properties, but (I admit) it's also for Google to follow the link to get on the page with the properties. Otherwise Google would never get on the properties page, because otherwise the only way on is by a search form on the index page.

To help Google find specific pages create a sitemap and submit it to your webmaster account.

for inner links, better place a sitemap.

try to reduce the links in one page. as low links as you can.

no difference b/w footer or header. keep working.

As the links in the footer are internal links, I see no reason for Google or any other search engine to hate your site :)

There is no real evidence that Google will penalise your site which has creator and sponsored links in the footer.

Just don't make them too light imo, they have to be visible to users as much as to a bot.

Yup, submit a sitemap on Google so that all of your links in the footer will be recognize. Also, make the text color on your footer darker, so that Google will not think that your doing Black Hat SEO.

I don't think that it is the footer issue. However, make the link as clear as possible. It is possible that Google might think that you are trying to camouflage a link.

the only think that google expressly forbids is cloaking, but as long as your links can be seen by users, even if it is a light colour there is no problem
