footer link or blogroll link

i want to ask to all master in this forums, which one is better footer link or blogroll link??? i am newbie here,,..

 

Blogroll are more preferred.

 

I agree with the above post.. Blog roll is much effective than footer links..

I don't know in which point of view blogroll is better than footer link. Both will be added in every page. If you think about traffic point of view I believe blogroll works better than footer link. But I am confused about SEO point view.

Ask yourself this - generally speaking, where are the most important links on a web page? If you created a new page and wanted people to click on your most important links, where would you put them?

Where a link is located on a page sends a good signal to the search engines about what you think about that link and hence the importance of that link. Footer links are still useful but the worst place (in terms of passing SEO value) to put your link on any page is in the footer.

 

Ofcourse a blog roll. But also note that you would get great authiroty when a authority website links from footer.

 

Blogroll is better than footer, but most of the best sites (high autority) will only offer a footer.

 

simpseo got the point there. Yep... Now I'm in reasoning blogroll is much better. Before I just think all the same, after all google will keep crawl all the link in our site. Thank you for your insight simpseo.

 

Blogroll is better positioned on the page

 

Footer links are useful only for one-way backlink building, but when the templates are too good people tend to scroll down to footer to check the designer or probably for a download link.

 

Yes, i am both links are good for Seo but traffic would be refer to blogroll as blogroll stand high than footer link.
