Football / Soccer (what do you Americans call it these days?) Site - PLEASE REVIEW

    Hey. Just got a blog going on about Arsenal Football Club and wanted to get some reviews from you guys. I've heard (in a separate thread) that my main banner isn't showing up on Firefox. Could you guys review the site if possible and also let me know if that query is true? Cheers!

    Good site Americans call it soccer these days.

    well i can't see the banner either.I am using firefox.other than that everything is fine.

    Any idea as to how I could fix this? It shows up on Internet Explorer but not Firefox...

    hey ..i can see the banner now.but I didn't like the banner that much.I think you should drop Adebayor's picture and put henry their.you and I both know Henry is the king of arsenal so it would be appropriate to put his pic on the banner.and I think you should drop the blue background too.try it out with maroon color.

    Good header which suits your site, just the header takes longer time to load :( i guess the size of the file is big, I would make the blue color in the Navigation Bar red or light red

    I think the nav bar should be maroon as it is the color of Arsenal.

    The club has several colors on its logo thus all these colors may be used on the site,
    it may be a good idea to add the explanatory text notes to all the pictures also.

    Fair comments. I have to say that I considered pretty much everything you said when I set up my site and I'm still deciding on what I will do. If you look at Arsenal blogs (and there are quite a few) - everything is RED, everything has HENRY on it and they all look quite similar. I guess at this point I'm going for quite a fresh, original look that is separate from the USUAL Arsenal blogs. If anyone has any comments on this approach I'd love to hear them!

    Definitely looking at adding text notes to all pictures. Have been doing so as much as possible. I think you're right, perhaps using the NAVY BLUE from the logo in most areas in place of the LIGHT BLUE would tie everything in a bit better. Comments?

    wat about the adebayor picture in the banner??
    Denis Bergkamp, Patrick Vierra , Thierry henry, Cesc Fabregas gilberto would be great .I am a huge arsenal fan and adebayor how do i say it........not good enough to be on the banner representing arsenal.(I m not trying to be offensive or anything ,its just my opinion.)

    It may be a good idea to keep the proportion of the colors in the club logo at your web site, that is the background of the header should be maroon and the background of the navigation bar below it may be navy.

    its not bad, but this blog doesnt have a soccer sport feel, if you are serious about you should make or hire someone to make you a beautiful soccer header, at least..

    I am using FireFox and the banner loads after a few seconds after the rest of the website has loaded!

    Looks like a nice blog with some great blog posts, a tip for me to you is to create a player page on every first team player with there profile etc, it should get you really high on Google and other search engines!

    Not a bad effort but could do with being updated more often if you want it to be a daily read. The last news story is on the 11th and I know there's stuff on bbc about Lehmann and his contract.

    For the record, I hope he doesn't sign 'cos he's a nasty piece of work! I'm NOT an Arsenal fan btw :)
