foot link

    Footer links aren’t necessarily evil. They just don’t help as much as you might think, and footer links can trip those pesky link spamming filters.

    so se think foot link is not spam.right?

    I don't think SE treat footer links badly cause many reputable sites have footers pointing to their sponsors or web designers..

    it is from a seo blog. it mean they help not much bez they have the same anchor text and in the bottom of page that people see it less,which I guess.

    Yes, the problem is not the value of the link with search engines. It is only because in the footer, links are less viewed by visitor, so less traffic.

    In my opinion i dont think footer links are classed as spam. look at most web design companies, or sponsored text links, most of them appear at the bottom of the site in the footer.

    they are evil but i believe they will evil in future. i think when google starts to check if a link is pid or not, one of their criterias will be footer links
