There's enough wealth to go around. The problem is that too many people are hoarding wealth instead of re-distributing it.

 

Not sure I'd agree with you there Mik! If all the worlds wealth were shared out, I don't think people would get more than a few dollars each. The problem, it appears to me, is that there are just too many of us on the planet. We need a situation whereby more people are dying than are being born...but of course, that presents another problem whereby there are not enough people to pay for social services in the future. What a cock-up we've made on this planet.

 

I think if we want to continue the capitalist cred, where we must continually expand to keep it working then we seriously need to explore space now, for supporting life and mining resources, and get that happening now. I think that would ease a lot of worry knowing we CAN go on growing infinitum. There's no other logical way forward imho.

 

What do you think this kid's hopes and aspirations are? I don't think it would go beyond wanting to be well.

I believe we make our own future, compounded by circumstance (& we have what we expect to have) but these people's future is bleak in both body & soul. These people need stability and a chance to see a brighter future. How do you pull yourself out when you're in that condition?

 

That is really horrible at one place people having feasts and at one place people are dieing with hunger.... that is awful

This is really a sincere topic at this moment. Steps need to be taken on this aspect, form the government side as well as citizens.
Government needs to care of foods that have been grown, by proper storage system to save it from flood and rain.
Citizen also needs to take care of foods during parties and festival time.

The best solutions for world hunger are those that use the "Give" to attract people to the "Teach." This is what welfare was supposed to be based on: helping people during times of need so that they can help themselves get out of need.

 

a true cock-up I think that more rational distribution of goods on the planet is possible. No matter what kids should not be dying from hunger. Another thing is to teach the parents of those 5-7 kids families in Africa and India some basic ideas about modern contraception.
