After reading the increasing number of complaints about infractions and red reputation I came into this question Don't you believe that these systems are promoting a sort of hatred feelings among DP members? I know all communities need regulations to avoid chaos, but as the subject states, this is just food for thought...
No, it indicates a lazyness to read the rules and just post a complaint instead. I have 3 infractions. Did I whine and bitch? No, I changed my behaviour as I realized that the 3 warnings (on different issues) were reminding me of the rules here at DP in order to keep it as a resource. I have found that the improvement has been immense with fewer and fewer worthless "thanks" or cut and paste "welcome to dp" posts. Well worth getting a few reminders of the rules myself
This is a webmaster forum and people come here for information. Rules and regulation won't scare people away. You can see banned member come back everyday.. and even yfs1 (an ex - mod) is getting infractions, i believe our mod dordn't have bias about infractions to senior member or newbie..as long as you break the rule, your hand get slap
Thanks Yfs1 and Ahkip, I believe your input and attitude in relation to both infractions and red, is an example to follow as reputable members you are.
