Yup, so I'm brand new to web design, although I've been a graphic designer for several years.

I've just finished my first ever website (I'm not proud of it, but I've learned a hell of a lot from doing it!) and I am pleased to say that the creative process of technological design through coding is pretty much exactly the same as the old graphite to paper method I'm used to.

In fact this image springs to mind:

Sadly this is pretty much true of all creative processes. but why oh why do we always leave things to last minute?????

Any body else suffer from this?

    ;)

I'm not sure. I think it's easy to confuse "letting an idea marinade" with "not doing anything". A lot of times my best ideas come when I'm not in front of the computer. If we think designing only happens when we're "busy working", that's not really accurate. A lot of times it's actually much more difficult to be creative when you try to just push through a project. Your brain needs time for ideas to simmer and formulate. Don't beat yourself up so much about "not working". Busy-work is the corporate way of doing things, but isn't actually a good thing most of the time in the creative sphere.
