Followed Advice

    I posted on nearly a dozen blogs related to my website (PR 1-3) and hopefully this will increase my PR. How long does will it take to actually have an effect?

    The next PR update is expected in April...
    You might see changes in SERPs sooner though.

    Arg... April? Yikes...
    So SERPs are updated on a different schedule? I guess I'll just keep building backlinks... but its hard to see how many you have if google doesn't show you. Will backlinks be reflected on a different schedule as well?

    You can check all your backlinks on yahoo.

    It will take an effect as long as your backlinks you get backlinks in google.
