Follow up to unexplained loss of PR and SERPS

I see my original thread was moved here so I will continue in this section.

Please read my original post to see why I am concerned.

The site in question has always been developed white hat. I have hired some people to build some incoming links but these same people were also hired to build incoming links for other sites I own and they remain in good standing.

The site (I guess I am allowed to post it here now) is ged-online.com

Up to about 6 weeks ago it was getting nice traffic that was producing about $50 a day in Adsense revenue (this is not an adsense discussion). Over night it died and traffic came to a screeching hault.

Until this weekends update it was at PR3 and before that PR5

All articles are unique and I feel the site is well done and simple. I have a lot of time invested in it and honestly do not know where to beginto discover what happened.

No pages are indexed in Google anymore and I got the gray PR bar. I could give a hoot about PR ifI could get SERPS back.

Any ideas and help is much appreciated.

    Glen

Based on what you have said about your site it seems like your site was penalized,
you or the people you hired may have accidentally done something that got your
site penalized, you should ask them about this if you haven't done so already. You
should also review google's rules and thoroughly examine your site for anything that
goes against google's rules, if you can find out what caused you to get penalized you
should fix it and submit a request for reconsideration.

I agree with you.I just cannot for the life of me figure out what happened. The only recent scheme I have purchased to increase back links is what was offered on this thread:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=770707

However, I used this on several other sites with no problems.

Is it possible to hire someone that really knows how to find out what is going on?
