Not that this will get anywhere. But I'm going to pretend it has a chance.

I suggest follow up feedback. Sometimes deals go sour in the long run. Unique content ends up being sold again. Chargebacks happen etc.

And I'm talking about longggggggggg term. Some people have bought links, templates, or services that went bad about a year or two later.

I don't believe in a permanent links but a lot of people get their links dropped after 6 months to a year. So I think that 6 months from every transaction you have the option of updating it. But only so many times. I think letting it go on for 5 years is a little silly >.>

You can also have it, so they can only switch the feedback to neutral. I'd like that option if any at any time. Even if people wait a month before leaving feedback sellers can take advantage long after feedback is left. This can also be done vice versa. Sometimes buyers purchase ebooks that they don't have the right to resell and they resell it.

Yes I understand people should wait to leave feedback but I feel this is important with the way business is going for the internet.

I once left negative feedback a person because he seemed to have allowed another designer to use my images. When he responded twice it seemed as if he knew they were mine but didn't care. I immediately left negative feedback (well almost it was a weeks worth of PMing and deciding). A week later things were cleared up and the result was the other designer made it seem like their own design and said that I didn't create it. The designer got positive feedback and never refunded the $$$ spent on the transaction. The buyer was left with negative feedback from me and he compensated me and apologized. I still regret not being able to change it to at least nuetral.
It could also be seen as the negative itrader woke up the buyer but it didn't bother him, he felt that I could leave whatever I wanted because it wasn't my image. A week later the other designer finally came out about it. Terrible stuff.

Wow, that sounds very complicated. I don't know about leaving the feedback open that long. Too many loose cannons running around. :)

Yeah, I agree with you rebelagent.

There should be some kind of 'commenting' system to post weeks or months later, but it shouldn't change the feedback because that could evolve into a whole other sort of trouble.

Maybe a plus or minus would be the comment with a date?

    2 cents thrown in.
