I always see the terms follow or no follow blogs/sites very often what does this mean in SIMPLE ENGLISH
If you have link to your site in follow, then Google will pick up this link, if no follow - Google won't pick it up but other Search Engines like Yahoo or Bing most likely pick up. It's all about Google...
its only in the terms of Google if u have some do follow links then all search engines count this like a backlinks but if this is no follow then all search engines know like backlinks but google not..
'no follow' means you want to tell google that you don't really give 'credit' to that link on your site, even if you link to that site. Simple as that.
Follow means you are allow to Google to count link or allow Google to value lin which are link with your site. No Follow means you are asking to Google to not count link which are link with your site. No follow link will count othere Search Engine only Google will not
it means that Google will not vouch for any links from "No-follow" tagged URLs or sites...NO follow means Google will not follow it ...if you have alink on any no-follow site , it will not add to increase in page rank , but it may add to building traffic for your site
No Follow vs Do Follow, what's the big difference? I often heard that no follow links are worthless and don't create back links for a website and being a webmaster, one should always consider having a Do Follow link. Why is that there is the so called a "no follow" link? Don't they have importance in SEO? I have read in one article that a website should have a balance "do follow" and "no follow" link. And stated three reasons why one should not care. Here's the reason: 1. The search engines expect to see a balance of “no follow†and “do follow†links to your site. What those exact ratios are can be debated, but it is clear that you should not be trying to get every link to your site as a “do followâ€. 2. We haven’t seen any concrete proof that the three major search engines aren’t passing some link juice through “no followsâ€. In fact, we have seen some pretty good articles indicating that they feel they received some good link love from “no follow†links from authority sites. 3. Focus on getting links for traffic and you won’t have to worry about it at all. This is often lost with link builders. So much emphasis is place on getting link juice for search engine rankings, that many forget that the best links of all bring real traffic to your site. If you get a link that sends you meaningful traffic, do you really care if it is “no follow†or “do followâ€? So guys, what are your thinking about this?
Google added a feature to anchors tags called the NO FOLLOW tag, if you see ref="nofollow" then the link is no follow. There is no "do follow" tag, it is just the absense of the "nofollow" tag. This tell Google spiders not to follow the link and give credit for the link. Most blogs are defaulted as no follow.
hi friends, i have a site with 1 pr, i have submitted this in many directories and post this in many major bookmarking sites like digg, mister wrong, etc. what would be the reason for this. plz tell me. My domain name is http://www.personalloantenants.co.uk/

If you are viewing a site's page simply press control and the "u" key and it will give you the source code... then press control "f" and type in the search for the hyperlink you are trying to see has a "no follow" attribute or not, if no follow is not in the source code then you are good to go... hope this helps...
No follow/do follow are HTML tag, made only for Google. No follow tag - Google will not read as a link. and Google do not follow these links. Do follow tag - Google will read as a link. and Google follows these links.
