I would like to start off by saying hi to all the people here on DP and hopefully over the course of my journey I could meet new friends. I never been into forums posting or forums in general. Before I get into details about my goal I would really like for you to get to know me. Well my name is Michael and I got into the internet marketing community after purchasing Mark Warren's Ultimate Wealth Package back in 2006. The product me around $149 and it was basically a bunch of ebooks about creating a business through selling ebooks. I actually got mad at myself for being so stupid. However, after the 12 mile run(this is how I usually deal with stress/anger) I actually thought to myself that I think I can do better marketing than this website. But unfortunately for me I didn't have a product for sale at the time. So this is where I got into affiliate marketing. Anyways what better way to start than to promote this product. Needless to say after about 4 months of ppc and seo I became one of the top 5 affiliates for this site. During the 6 weeks I was active as an affiliate I made just under $70,000(not bad for my first time). It was at this point that I decided to learn, try, and do everything in internet marketing. The first thing I got into was adsense. I bought a few books like Adsense BlackHat by Vince Tan and Adsense Secrets by Joel Comm. I was a big dog in adsense like those million dollar adsense sites but I think I did pretty well. My best month was $16,295 for May 2007. I averaged about $10,000 a month for the 6 months actually tried adsense. However, the downside to this was I actually had to become a polyphasic sleeper. I did really have time to just relax. I felt like a rat on a wheel. There was not change. Anyways that is where I decided to sell my sites and that is where I got into website flipping. I can't remember exactly the course I bought but it was from this couple he thought it. Anyways I spent another 2 months learning everything I can about this subject. So since I didn't have any other sites and I didn't want to develop new ones I decided to purchase low quality sites and spruce them up. Anyways I spent like 14 hour days on these sites. I was doing 10 flips a month for around $800 - $1200 profit. After about 5 months I just got tired of it. From here is where I got into cpa, ppc, and more affiliate marketing. I spent over $50,000 just purchasing courses, seminars, and my computers. I bought everything I could find from top marketers like Frank Kern to Eben Pagan. I spent like 6 months just trying to learn everything I could about product launches, cpa, ppc, ppv, affiliate marketing, seo, and anything else in the IM world. Here I go again one more time diving into another form of marketing this time it is cpa. Now since I had a good knowledge of seo I decided to just find a site that already makes over $10,000 a month in cpa revenue alone. So I went to sitepoint to find a site like this. I found one in the health niche. So I hired a couple of writers from elance and designers from getafreelancer. Anyways it took me about 5 month to get my site in the first page for this competitive niche and 2 more months after that to position 1. Needless to say once I was on top I decide to take my first vacation and that was this past summer. This was a bad decision on my part. Needless to say once I came back from Ecuador my site had drop to page 4. So here I go again working on seo trying to get my site back on top of google. Took me 43 days to get back to position one again. The problem with being in position one for a competitive is you have a target on your back. Everyone was stealing my link partners and strategies I was using. It was a constant battle to try to keep my position. Anyway on Dec of last year I decide to just give up. I sold my site for $89,000 to a friend of mine. Than I decide it was time I get my life straighten out. So I took a 2 month vacation just traveling to different countries this past Jan and Feb. It was during this time that I decide to make goals. I asked myself what a perfect lifestyle would be. I than created a map of some sort to achieve this. Well in order to achieve this lifestyle I have to make "passive" income. I was more focus on just getting money than actually on how I got this money. So this is the where it leads me to this thread. Now that you got to know a little about me you be asking yourself why $46,026. Well when I came back from vacation I received a email from Frank Kern about his core influence 2 video. And this is the figure I reach with his exercise. So the plan of attack that I have for this goal is basically creating my own product. I figure it might take a while but once I create enough buzz I could generate passive income with my own product. So I am going to basically start of by doing a proper product launch like that outline in Mass Control and Product Launch Formula. Once I have create enough buzz I would create a membership site with a continuity program. So with that being said I will be detailing my whole process on this thread. This way I can actually stick to my goals if I have others watching me. So I would like any and all feedback, questions, and concerns discuss on here. Feel free to give information about yourself because I like competition. Plus we are all here to make money so why not try and build bridges because who knows we might end up doing a product in the future. Ok let me kick of this thread by what my plans are for the day. I decided to start of slow. My plan of action for today is 1) Purchase my domain and web hosting(normally it would be market research but I have already choose the market I want to get into and the product I want to create). I decided to go with namecheap and hostnine because I have used these two companies before. Plus hostnine reseller account allows you to choose where you want to host. 2)Setup a Wordpress Site I decided to go with wordpress because it is easy to manage plus it ties into my product. 3) Create a Squeeze page using swipe files of other squeeze pages that convert well. My goal is to build a list. Than built a relationship with that niche and create a product to their needs and request. This might not be much for day 1 but hey at least I am taking action. Looking forward to hearing your comments and ideas. P.S. The way I went about choosing my market was through the help of Amazon. I read a few books about a market I was interested in it and read the good and negative reviews and decide to use this as my starting point in creating my product.
