There was a thread earlier on whether subdomains can independently join the network, but the answers appeared to focus on named subdomains, like http://hereat.mywonderfulsite.com, but I am still unclear on folder subdomains. I have a couple of what amount to quite distinct sites for which I never bothered to get separate domains, but at least one of which gets some traffic. Can I set up network membership for-- http://owlcroft.com/english/--if the owlcroft.com domain is not a part of the network? And, if so, can I set up a separate membership for, say-- http://owlcroft.com/owlcroft/ ? And, if so, when setting the "site" URL, do I include the trailing slash? (I assume so, but am leery of assumptions.)
I have www.yourfavouriteshop.com/forum without my main domain and I think it automatically added the trailing slash I am not sure if you can have two folders from one domain however as I have only ever had one. Cheers
I too had the same doubt. I registered with a different extension, mydomain.com/1 and added the script here. I have added in several other extensions also, like mydomain.com/2/index.html Will this add to my weight?.
Thanks shawn, Now i run the codes in the following: My registered url is: http://www.muslimmatrimonial.com/muslim-matrimonials/articles but now i have the codes also in http://www.muslimmatrimonial.com/islam/talk WIll i get credit for this ?. Or how should i register this link in my account. Rgds., sarathy.s
No, those second ads won't give you any weight. Only ads on pages further down the tree under /articels/ will help you. If you want the other ones to count you'll probably have to change the base URL to your top level domain and then make sure ALL pages have ads on them.
OOps, T0PS3O thanks for your reply. Sighz, we cant put the ad on our main page which will dilute our site's original content . Is there any other way of getting approved for this types. Rgds., Sarathy.s
No. You're only allowed one account per domain. Stick to the folder with the most pages - will give you the most weight. You could separate your site into subdomains. I believe you are allowed accounts on separate subdomains since Google thinks of those as seperate websites.
Thank you. Do you anticipate ever being able to handle multiple folder subdomains? I have two or three that were not quite worth bothering with getting a domain name, but which do get some modest traffic.
