FLV web player – related videos

    Hi

I’ve been using a web FLV player (flv-player.net) for a while now but it’s missing the ability to show a list of related videos once the video is done playing (like you tube).

Does anyone know of a player that is either free or relatively cheep (under $50)? If the player isn’t free I’d only be interested if the purchase price allows for usage on multiple domains.
The player should also be configurable using xml/txt files.

I’ve found the following but none fulfil my needs  :

hitasoft player – single domain license
Wimpy rave – single site licence & can’t find related video feature
Moyea Web Player – videos must be configured on their site (appears so on the video demo) & all add-ons are single site
    web-flv-player.com – no related videos

If anyone has an idea please let me know

    Thanks in advance!

I have tried Moyea Web Player. I have successful added videos to their player without any configuration on their site. Maybe you can just try again with it. This is the tutorial -
    http://www.playerdiy.com/support/tutorial/customize-flash-video-player.html
and this is contact email for further questions about using this program -
    Good luck!

Thanks for you feedback, but I already saw that, and it's exactly the problem I meant. Instead of having the configuration over a XML file I’d have to add the videos to the player on a PC.

What I am looking for is a Player that gets the videos to be displayed based on a XML/txt file.

    Thanks

Here are two video players which I've found at the Adobe (Dreamweaver extensions):
    Flash Video (FLV) Player
    Flash Media Gallery

    Hello:

I have seen the feature on YouTube indeed and there are alternatives as Flash Media Gallery or JW Player. This article tells you a bit more about what YouTube is using and about what is the alternative to their flash player: thehdstandard.com/hd-broadcaster/ There are also free solutions and the best part of the ecuation is that the video quality is even better than YouTube. You must consider the bandwidth consumption as well if you are streaming at higher bitrates. Silverlight may be the solution if you have a good internet connection and don't want to deal with buffering issues.

I think you need a playlist. Right?

I suggest you to try moyea's another software: PlayerBox. It is a freeware. And unless JW player it is a web player maker, so even the finished web player are not open source. But you can use it to make your own web player with no limitation. And you can save a project file to decide whether to open your player's source.

You can download it : http://www.player-box.com Hope will help.
