FLV Player Free vs Commercial

Hi there

I am working on this site, and was thinking of using a free FLV player. The only problem I'm unsure of is the commercial license and what the legal rights really mean. If I have a musician website, and use the free FLV player, will I break those legal rights?

This is what I want to achieve:
1. Create a video playlist with the FLV player
2. Add future video clips
3. Menus; Play and pause button; timer, options for fullscreen, and a volume level.

I have accomplished this in the past, but I was using someone else FLV player. Now I want to see if there were other ways that might be more easier to do, and avoid the commercial legals.

Hope that makes sense. So what is the best way to go about this?

Hi, you can use one of GPL licensed FLV players - for example flowplayer.org - it is free for commercial use. Another matter is licensing (royalties) for content you are going to play (music, videos etc.).

 

try flowplayer.....it is as good as any other commercial alternatives

flowplayer is not free for commercial use. It costs 95 $ for a commercial licence.

Hi, commercial license limitation means you can only use the player freely with no commercial needs. If you want use it to earn money you need to purchase the commercial license.

and what software do you using? According to your description, it is like moyea playerbox. I am using it and I think it is good.

Good news guys, I managed to add my own custom skin, and a playlist with; thumbnails and description.

I am set now, and very happy with the result. It wasn't easy, but I persevered and broke through .
