Fluctuation in PR

Hello People,

I am very new to SEO and I was doing link exchange for my industrial related website since Jan 09. After the google updates happened recently,the link page of the website I was working on got PR 2 from 0.

But after a week it again went back to 0.

Please help me and let me know what can be the reason behind this.

Link Exchange means reciprocal links , You link to them , they link back to you

If you did reciprocal link when you say link exchange , THEN WHAT YOU GOT IS CORRECT RESULT

Google doesnt like link trade or link exchange just to increase PR

So always build ONE WAY Links meaning you get a link a back but you dont link back

Search in Link development forum for one way links, link building, white hat techniques
You will find a lots of stuffs

You're probably just using a faulty tool or even different tools. If you hit PR2 from an update then you definitely shouldn't drop back down to 0 in a week.

Use prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php and let me know how it goes.

 

Same happened to me last week.
Went from PR1 - PR2 April first update
Last week lost pr2 - google doesnt rank.
not lost serps just rank of homepage.

 

At the end of the day it really doesn't matter. PR does not reflect how well your site ranks in Google. I suggest focusing on building relevant and high traffic links before spamming directories and hoping for a higher PR.

 

u have to built a link to get page rank. and good content will increase it too

 

It having different possibilities it may updating in different Google data center or you may need to build more link with high PR.
