Fluctuating Serps!!

How can a site repeatedly fluctuate from page 1 of google to page 3 of google on a daily basis? My site is #4 on google today for a particluar keyword but tomorrow it will be on page 3, then on Monday back to page 1 and Tuesday page 3 again. I've been monitoring this for the past 3 weeks and this is what has happened. It is weird to me and I just don't have a clue why. So thought I would put this question across in the hope somebody else is experiencing a similar thing.

Some of my keywords are fluctuating by 15 to 40 places from day to day at the moment, yet some keywords are stable. Been like that for a few weeks.
Big G is possibly testing out some algo changes.

This usually happens when your site starts ranking for new keywords (is this the case?). To be honest - the fact that Google is putting you into page 1 is a good sign & my only advice is to continue consistant link building & you should see the results start to stabilise in the next few weeks.

@SEOBackup...That may explain the issue I was having. Also there is talk here on DP that the SERPs were very active in the past few weeks.

Here is a post I did when I noticed:

It's normal with search engine, rankings fluctuates. It usually happen when google updates.
