Hello, For my target keywords my site is changing on a daily basis between: Low page 1, High page 2 and Low page 3 on the google ranks. What can I do to keep it on page one apart from building backlinks? Site in question is in my sig. Cheers!
Popular term for this behavior is google dance. Don't worry your position will get stablized and will dance less often as site becomes old.
The only thing that google considers more important than keywords and backlinks is time. If you have a year old website you will bounce much less, believe me I am bouncing between page one which I recieve a couple hundred hits in a day to page 100 where I recieve 0 a day it is kinda funny since my Google Analytics looks like a dang rollercoaster.
you need to keep getting backlinks but you need to get backlinks from different websites... if you are getting backlinks form common sites rank will not improved.. try to get backlnks from different sites different domains.

I would agree with the other members that time does play an important role in the stability of your serps. Google needs to be aware of your efforts over a long period to give good stability to your serp position. Consistency...is the name of the game......mate! Regards, RightMan
