So we(Hawaii) were overdue for a hurricane by 15 years. Flossie was coming right toward us at 150 mph and it was only 1k miles away. It was all over the news and all anyone could talk about. Everyone was prepared, stores shut down, beaches cleared, etc. etc. Our main island, Hawaii(yes, our main island has the same name as our state), was going to get it the worst. Their island has heavy showers, trees fell, they had a 5.7 earthquake, all the schools and stores shut down, etc. etc. It finally hits us and the damn thing separates! >.< It hit Hawaii(the island) and the top half went one way and the bottom half went the other. It was ridiculous.
Ridiculous, or lucky? You're so lucky to be in hawaii, I have some pictures from when my dad went, looks beautiful.
It's ridiculous. I'm on Maui, which is right behind the island of Hawaii and there was nothing but murky waters. lol
