Flood Protection

So about two days ago, some American Idol enthusiasts tried voting like 2,000 times from my site, http://textforfree.net which ended up killing MySQL.

I've tried adding a sort of 20 seconds between each message sent, but does anyone here have any better ideas?

 

You give WAY too little info for us to comment on that. We have no idea what your system does.
