Well, my adsense pay per click averages have been confusing me lately. It seems that up to about $2.00 the clicks are paying out good amounts but once I get over $2.00 a day all of the sudden its as if I get smart priced and the pay per each click drops way down.

The whole thing is very confusing. I've been watching my numbers for the past two weeks and everything seems great, I have a very low amount of clicks that gets me to $2.00 then all the sudden I have three times as many clicks but don't even break $3.00, is there some sort of thing similar to smart pricing that my be kicking in at a certain payout amount? Maybe some sort of tiered amount pricing? If anyone has any idea whats going on I'd be happy to here some input.

P.S. I tried not to go against TOS in this post, but if I have please let me know where and I will edit it ASAP.

I think geographic time plays an important role to this.

Try working with the competitive ad filter, sometimes your ads are dominated by low-paying stuff.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give the add filter a try. I was also wondering if the drop may be attributed to a certain higher paying advertisers daily budget running out. Thats the only reason I have been able to come up with.
