You who are flipping websites as a business - How do you do this? I'm not planning to do this, but have noticed that many people do this, both here and at sitepoint. What do you focuse on? How do you get it better and more advertised than it was before without loosing any money? Of course the website will increase in value when it becomes more visited and better monetized, but don't you use a lot of money to actually advertise? -Little curious here
I'm not exactly sure what the procedure is for flipping a website. If it means buying a website and hoping someone out there will be will to pay more ... then I would say it's not worth trying. I'm assuming this isn't how it works, but then again I don't know much about this. Maybe someone who has done it can explain.
I flip websites as a hobby. The general tactics are buy cheap, buy traffic, generate revenue by monetizing site and then sell once revenue is apparent. That is the general concept...obviously there are more secrets which you will pick up if you dare to venture !
Well I have been flipping websites for a while. Essentially the advantage or difference is buying an established website which you can leverage to sell for a higher profit. Otherwise you would just build a new website and sell. Essentially website flipping is for someone with expertise in SEO, affiliate marketing, adsense etc where you use your expertise to make the site better than it was when you bought it.
